Disability insurance is the most overlooked of the major types of insurance. How would you pay your bills and expenses if an accident or illness kept you from working and earning a paycheck? If you don’t have a plan in place, it’s time to think about disability insurance. At Dentists Disability Insurance we make it our job to efficiently protect your income with the best possible “own occupation” language at the lowest available price. Click HERE to learn more.
If you are a member of the country’s largest dental association (the ADA) you may be aware that they offer disability insurance at a discounted rate. This policy is offered through Great West Life (a Canadian life insurance company), and for at least the last 15 years has not had any major premium changes. Many people like this because early in your career you can get coverage that is very affordable. However rates are NOT guaranteed, and starting May 1, 2015 there will be a significant increase. Premiums will no longer be the same for males and females. The new male rates will increase by about 16%, and female rates will increase by an average of 21%.
When people think of their most valuable asset they often think of their home, their 401(k), or their new car. Not many think of their ability to earn a living as an asset. Even though without this ability, there would be no home, no 401(k), and no car. The average dentist will make anywhere from $3,000,000 to $10,000,000 over their working career. At Dentists Disability Insurance we have made it our job to help protect that asset with the best possible “own occupation” language at the lowest available cost.
After we have received your disability insurance quote request, we will coordinate a time with you to speak about your options, then further customize your plan from your input. When you decide what insurance carrier you wish to go with we will take your application by mail, email, or fax, making the process smooth and working around your busy schedule.
For over 10 years we have been helping the dental community understand the verbiage in a disability insurance policy and how that relates to their need to protect their income from a disability. Even after a disability plan is implemented through us, Dentists Disability Insurance is here to be your advocate during a claim scenario, usually resulting in faster benefits paid if a disability strikes.
